No talks before Islamabad lockdown, says Imran

No talks before Islamabad lockdown, says ImranISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan  on Friday said he had no plans to hold talks with the government before his proposed lockdown of the federal capital.
“ Dialogue will only be held when we arrive in Islamabad on November 2,” he said talking to media outside his residence.
“Nawaz Sharif still has time to present himself for accountability,” said Khan adding that a conspiracy was being hatched to hide the corruption of the ruling family.
The PTI chairman also criticized Autorbny General Pakistan for what he said representing prime minister in the Supreme Court. “Attorney General is supposed to assist the court,” he said, calling on Nawaz Sharif to present his case through a private lawyer.
He also rejected the impression that activists of banned organizations will attend his protest march in Islamabad.
Reacting to Khan's remarks, the Attorney General’s office said Imran Khan’s statement regarding the Attorney General was not according to the law. The Attorney General is a constitutional position which only assists the court, the statement said.
The statement said the Attorney General does not represent any private individual.
Meanwhile, Former interior minister and PPP leader Rehman Malik claimed that the PTI and the PMLN were holding backdoor talks, expressing the hope that the situation would normalize.
He said a “plea bargain” was going to happen between the two parties. “They had better resolve the issue before any damage is done".
